Pu Luong Trekking – Ninh Binh – Halong 4 Days

8:00: Picked by the guide and driver at your hotel in Hanoi, depart for Pu Luong (4 hours drive). After lunch, take an excursion through beautiful villages located on the side of the hills, surrounded by beautiful rice fields, observe bamboo water wheels made by hand. Trekking through small trails embellished with vegetation to reach a picturesque village sitting at the foot of an imposing mountain. End of the day of trekking in Pu Luong, overnightin a stilt house of a white Thai family in Hang village.

After breakfast with the locals, you go to Tam Coc in Ninh Binh, one of the most famous sites of Vietnam, also nicknamed the “Halong Bay in land” with many limestone hills and tunnels dug by erosion. Enjoy a 2-hour boat ride through the rocky peaks of Tam Coc,then bike tour (note: transfer by car for those who do not want to ride a bike) to Bich Dong pagodas (2km) located on the hillside. Continue the bike ride tour to Hoa Lu, ancient capital of Vietnam dating back to the 10th century to visit the temples of  Dinh and Le Kings. (Note: Depending on your state of health, you can continue cycling to Hoa Lu (8km from Tam Coc), otherwise you can be transferred by private car). Overnight in Tam Coc.

After breakfast, drive to Ha Long Bay (200 kms – 4h drive). Arrive in Ha Long around noon, board a cruise in Halong Bay that allows you to explore every corner of the bay. Lunch and dinner on board. Night aboard the cruise in private cabin (double or twin cabin).

Halong Bay Cruise Program Day 1:
– 12:00-12:30 Boarding the Cruise.
– 13:00-15:30 Have lunch when the Cruise goes through the limestone islands …
– 15:30-16:30 Kayaking in the hidden areas of the Bay and around Luon Cave.
– 16:30 Return to the Cruise.
– 16:30-17:30 Cruise to Soi Sim Island. Swim or rest on the beach of Soi Sim or climb to the top of the island for a panoramic view of Halong Bay.
– 17:30 Back to the Cruise for the shower. Rest or admire the sunset.
– 19:00 Dinner with typical Vietnamese dishes.
– 20:30 Participate in evening activities: movies in the dining room, card games, squid fishing. Night on board.

Breakfast on board then continue your cruise in Halong Bay. Landing around noon. Back to Hanoi. Arrive at your hotel in Hanoi around 16:00.

Other option: Transfer from Halong to Hanoi Airport (180 kms – 3.5h drive) for domestic evening flight to Hue / Danang / Saigon or international flight.

Halong Bay Cruise Schedule Day 2:
 – 06:30-07:00 Start the day with Tai Chi or take pictures of the Bay.
– 07:30-08:30 Breakfast at sunrise.
– 08:30-09:30 Discover Sung Sot Cave – the most beautiful cave in the Bay.
– 09:30 Back to the Cruise. Pack up your baggage.
– 09:30-10: 30 Continue the discovery of the Bay passing the fishing village Hang Ba, islet of Dog …
– 10:30-11:30 Participate in the cooking demonstration and then enjoy a traditional Vietnamese meal when the Cruise returns to the pier
– 12:00 pm Landing.
